With an all-new staff, we are hoping to make a lot of changes with Atlantis this year (we love suggestions/ comments/ concerns- the magazine is about you, not us). One very minor change we have decided on is to move our monthly open mic night at Bottega Art & Wine from the 1st Tuesday of each month to the 2nd Tuesday of each month, starting now.
We really hope that you will consider joining us this Tuesday, August 10 (& every other 2nd Tuesday) and here is why:
there will be music and poetry
there will be art
there is cheap wine
we are friendly people
we want to be your friend and have deep and meaningful conversations with you about life, love, Toy Story, and the universe
there is still cheap wine
*I may or may not bring things to reward (bribe) those of you who decide to read/play/juggle/etc
SO, in conclusion:
Bring your voices! Bring your instruments! Bring your friends, family, coworkers, and everyone else you have ever met! We want to hang out with each and every one of you so please, please come out for the LAST open mic before classes begin!

GOOD NEWS! Atlantis has FINALLY released its Summer 2010 issue! Because we didn’t have our monthly 1st Tuesday celebration for July, we decided to combine both celebrations into a GIANT CELEBRATION!

Thank you to everyone who made it out, and to all of our readers and contributors, as well as the amazingly talented musicians who performed. It was wonderful, and we owe it all to you guys.

It’s done! Everyone get copies for yourself, friends, and family and enjoy what our fine writers and artists have contributed.
You can pick up copies around campus, particularly in the student media office in the Union. Thanks to everyone for their hard word!
It’s that time again. The magazine is done, and as tradition states, the epic biannual release party will be held downtown at the Soapbox on Thursday, April 22nd. Featuring music from:

No cover if your over 21, $3 for those under. Come hang out, listen to music, and most importantly, pick up a copy of the magazine!
The *SECOND Tuesday of every month, we host an open mic at Bottega Art & Wine. Come out and read your us your best pieces! Stories, poems, essays, reviews, grocery lists, we don’t care. We wanna hear your music too. Plus it’s always $2 wine night!
